For nearly a decade, I’ve been lucky enough to experience the marching arts not only as a performer and instructor, but from a media perspective as well. in high school, i marched snare with Grove Are Percussion and later made a career switch to color guard with River City Rhythm Winter Guard, aging out as a captain, while simultaneously building my career in media and photography within the activity.

My approach is rooted in documentary-style storytelling. rather than only focusing on capturing performances, i have a deep interest in the people who make this activity meaningful. i search for the quiet moments, the connections, the exhaustion, the anxiety, and everything that happens in between to create a production. My goal is to create imagery that allows members to see their own experiences reflected back at them, all while preserving what it felt like to be part of something bigger than themselves.
